Tapered Anchor Bolt, Grade 5, Steel, Zinc Finish, 3/8 x 2-1/4" (Pack of 10)
Heat-treated, zinc-plated Grade 5 bolt
Removable and reusable
No unsightly threads protruding
Excellent performance in high vibration
Bolt size is hole size
Pre-assembled with expansion nut
Equal force all around
Applications: Pallet racking crane rail, tilt wall, machinery and highway safety
Installation Procedure
1. Drill hole same diameter as Tapered Anchor Bolt, using fixture as a template.
2. Drive Tapered Anchor Bolt into place, leaving recommended head clearance. If hole is oversized, remove and pre-expand the nut to fit hole.
3. Tighten to recommended number of turns and/or torque. For big jobs, use impact wrench for greater speed and consistency.
4. When removal is needed, simply unscrew it. Bolt can then be reinserted and torqued to original holding power. To use in another hole, simply add a new expander nut.
Ultimate tensile strength and ultimate shear strength values shown: a 4:1 safety factor is recommended.
